NATO Awards Nexor Contract for Provision of High Assurance Mailguards
Nexor, a provider of high grade security products and services to the military and government sectors, has been awarded a framework contract and appointed as supplier of choice for the provision of high assurance mailguards for operational use by NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency (NAMSA).
Continuing from its success in providing standards-compliant components for the first phase of the NATO messaging system (NMS), Nexor worked in close collaboration with NAMSA to enhance Nexor Sentinel, a high assurance mailguard, to offer boundary protection services for NATO mission systems.
In what has been hailed a successful example of industry’s flexibility and responsiveness to NATO needs, Nexor adapted its software to meet NAMSA’s exacting requirements. Nexor Sentinel, a common criteria EAL5+ evaluated appliance, which hosts an EAL4 evaluated application, was the ideal platform on which to build the high assurance device.
Humphrey Browning, business development manager, explains: “Using our information assurance skills and our 15 years of experience of working in this area, Nexor was able to meet the challenge of working directly with a large organisation such as NATO, interpreting its requirements and developing a secure, practical and timely solution to meet its needs.”
This contract award further underpins Nexor’s position as a leading authority on high grade security solutions.
