MMHS

Nexor’s links to secure messaging date back to our earliest years, resulting in Nexor becoming one of the best known niche players in the provision of military messaging systems. Our technology underpins government and military communications systems around the globe. Critical messages are relayed safely and securely within and between organisations by Nexor products during times of both war and peace and where it is often, quite literally, a question of life or death.

From the early 1990s, Nexor personnel have been closely involved in the development of both military messaging standards and the underlying commercial standards on which they are based. Nexor’s Military Message Handling Systems (MMHS) fully support the specific military functionality as defined by NATO and the CCEB, as well as providing support for both the early (ACP127/8) telex-based military messaging systems and the later (X.400 ACP123/Stanag4406) standards and elements of service. Nexor has also been at the forefront of the definition and implementation of internet (SMTP) based secure military messaging software.

For a detailed exploration of Military Messaging please see our White Papers MMHS: A Reference Architecture and MMHS:The Requirements, along with the Solution Paper MMHS: Nexor’s Technical Position. Please also refer to the datasheet for our Virtual MMHS which brings Nexor’s suite of military messaging products together in a virtualised environment, enabling end users and administrators to gain a rapid understanding of how an MMHS works and how it will look. Designed for use in both demonstration and testbed environments, Virtual MMHS implements a fixed strategic domain and a tactical HQ using Microsoft Windows and messaging infrastructures with an MMHS messaging infrastructure, clients, mailboxes and gateways.
