Data Loss Prevention – The Human Factor

Andrew Kays’ (Nexor’s Head of Development) published article in the Security Zone of Computer Weekly discusses the fact that in many of the recent high-profile cases of sensitive data loss from government, it appears that the human element is at fault, not the technological solutions. Nexor has been working with cyber psychology researchers at Nottingham Trent University, looking at the factors that influence human behaviour towards security.

The attached paper (126.95 kb) explores the issues.
